New Year’s Day Parade (past event)

See in the new year in style, or nurse the inevitable hangover after New Year’s Eve, at the traditional New Year’s Day Parade that started in 1987. This year it all kicks off at 1pm at Waterloo Place. Unfortunately tickets are now sold out, but the area will be full of celebration, so if you’re around you can still soak up the atmosphere


London Short Film Festival (past event)

A true celebration of indie films and short film/movie directors and producers. Starting in 2003, the London Short Film Festival has become an international, BAFTA-recognised short film festival. The various events can be found at BFI Southbank, Catford Mews, Curzon Soho & Rio Dalston venues across London

Whether you’re going to buy or simply enjoy the art that’s on show, the London Art Fair displays a collection from over 100 galleries. The fair also includes talks from influential artists and curators as well as a range of contemporary exhibits. This year the fair returns to the Business Design Centre in the lively Angel/Islington area
